Background and Overview
Golf sequence photography: Youve seen it done for the pros in golf magazines, but have you ever seen it done for your fellow golfers? Looking for a unique individual golf gift, instructional aid, or tournament gift?
Al Ruscelli Photography uses high-speed 35mm film and digital cameras to capture the golfers swing for display and analysis.
Our photo sequences represent one of the most unique golf gifts available and have added value as teaching aids.
These high-speed photographs, taken at 10 frames per second for film-based shooting (typically, a 24-exposure roll of film shot over a span of 2.4 seconds), and 8 frames per second for digital shooting, are used to stop action throughout the course of the golfers swing. During a single swing, we capture the golfer's stance, grip and address of the ball, as well as motions associated with takeaway, backswing, position at the top, downswing, impact, follow-through, and finish.
These photos provide much higher quality printable output than any video is capable of with the current technology, and further provide the advantage of portability. Prints may be easily carried anywhere. The golfer may have the local pro or coach critique them, they may be displayed flip-book style, or they may be framed and mounted as a wall display for home or office. We can even do digital conversion of images to art-on-canvas prints. And prints from our services are available on a near-immediate basis. With certain options that we make available, the golfer can have their prints available for viewing on the same day as the photo session.
